THE JUDGMENT OF GOD ON MANKIND
Text: Genesis 7; 8 Focus: Genesis 7:1-10, 15-17, 20; 8:1, 4, 20-22
Key verse:
Gen 7:23 [And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground], both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
The word "judgment" is used 294 times in the Bible. God wants us to know about judgment. We are studying the "judgment" on this world because of sin. What we read about this flood is the truth. There is evidence of it all over the world. It did happen. That is the past and we can be sure that there will be a final judgment. This is also in the Bible.
We call it THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST!
This lesson clearly establishes the truth that God will "judge" the "wicked" and He will give "mercy" and "grace" to those that humble themselves to Him.
Satan was judged at the cross:
Joh 16:11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
His children:
Joh 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
Joh 8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Joh 8:45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
Joh 8:46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
Joh 8:47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
They will be judged at Christ's second coming:
2Pe 3:1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2Pe 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
2Pe 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
2Pe 3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
2Pe 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
2Pe 3:6 Whereby [the world that then was], being overflowed with water, perished:
2Pe 3:7 [But the heavens and the earth, which are now], by the same word are kept in store, [reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men].
Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
IF THE RULER OF SIN HAS BEEN JUDGED HIS FOLLOWERS WILL BE ALSO!
We are in the Church age and we are in the age that will end in judgment at, "AT" the return of Christ. Because God is Holy, He "must" judge all that is unholy or He would no longer be Holy. He tells us:
1Pe 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
It is true that God has judged this present age. He has judged Lucifer and the fallen angels:
2Pe 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
Jud 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
We are now studying about the flood of Noah's day.
He also judged the people at the tower of Babel.
He also judged the Northern Kingdom.
He also judged Judah.
He also judged the early church.
The Apostle Paul stressed that there is still a judgment coming:
Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
There is still a final judgment coming:
Mat 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Mat 11:24 But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.
A judgment comes after the first death:
Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
The final judgment(called the second death) of all that do not know Jesus Christ as Savior:
Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Believers will also be judged but this takes place at the "Judgment seat of Christ":
Rom 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
Genesis Chapter 8 is a vivid picture of the judgment by flood on the unrighteous. This flood completely changed the world God first created into the world we now call Earth. The entire Earth was rearranged. For a period of about a year there was no life on the Earth but only Noah and his children and their wives and the animals on the ark were all that were left on this planet.
*****Our text:
Gen 7:1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
Gen 7:2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
Gen 7:3 Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
Gen 7:4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.
Gen 7:5 And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.
Gen 7:6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
Gen 7:7 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
Gen 7:8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
Gen 7:9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.
Gen 7:10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
Noah had been preaching of this coming judgment and building this Ark for 120 years. We can know that Methuselah had died because God said "come". We have already studied how that the name Methuselah means "judgment will come at death". The unrighteous that would die knew the results every time they said the name Methuselah. Noah was a just and lawful man before God which means that no one on Earth saw him as unrighteous. Noah found "grace" in a world gone mad. Noah lived what he preached. He set the standard for his family regardless what the world thought.
*****As Christians we should have this same testimony and set the standard for our families no matter what the world thinks. The world thinks wrong! The world has gone so bad that they think the Church will turn the world upside down:
Act 17:6 And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;
The world at that time was ruled by some of the most evil men that existed, the Caesars. No, it's the world that thinks backwards! Most people will agree but they will go against what the word of God says just because they hate Jesus Christ.
God brought:
1.) Animals for food. (seven pairs each)
2.) Animals for sacrifice. (seven pairs each)
3.) Animals that would just be saved for other purposes. (one pair each)
onto this Ark but He also laid the ground work of the animal population in place for generations to come for the children of Israel and their laws and even unto our day.
We can see that there were seven pairs of all birds (clean and unclean) because they had a specific purpose. They would distribute seed throughout the newly changed Earth. God would not plant all the Earth as He had in the beginning. Those that do not understand this need only look at a fence line where birds rest on their feet.
God left the door of the Ark open for seven days. Noah was inside. The Animals were in inside. It would seem that their was no reason to leave the door open. God was showing His "Grace". There were millions, some say billions of people on Earth at that time. Many had heard and known Enoch. Many had met Methuselah and called his name many times in his 969 years. They had heard these prophecies. They had heard the preaching of Noah for 120 years. They had seen when Noah and his family went into the Ark with all the animals. If they repented and decided to go with Noah, God gave them that opportunity because it would be God that would shut the door. It is only God who can shut the door of time limits. It is the individual that shuts his own door to salvation by rejecting God's word the Holy Bible..
It is God "only" that can save. Jesus said "I am the door"!
Joh 10:7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
Joh 10:8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
Joh 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
You see if any soul had entered the Ark before the rains came they would have shown faith and belief in God.
Jesus said if you cannot do it for my sake do it because of the things you see me do:
Joh 14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: [or else believe me for the very works' sake.]
Joh 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, [the works that I do shall he do also]; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Only God could have talked a man, Noah to make the commitment that he did.
Noah kept his side of the covenant and God would now keep His side of the covenant. The floods were coming!
THE RAINS BEGAN!
If we follow these dates given we will see that Noah and his family and these animals were in this ark for one year and ten days by the Jewish calender or one year and five days by our calender.
The rain fell for 40 days and nights. This rain began in the daytime while people could still see. Noah was 600 years old when he first saw rain.
Our text:
Gen 7:15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
Gen 7:16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.
Gen 7:17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.
Gen 7:20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.
God gave Noah the power to control these animals and they came unto him. All that came into the Ark were safe and secured. In typology we can know that every saint of God is safe and secure when we open the door to Jesus to come into our heart. He doesn't have to come from a far place because He is standing at the door of your heart no matter where you are at, waiting on you to invite Him in.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
You know Noah and his family were calmly going about the business of settling in for the soon coming judgment. They were not in great despair! They were safe and they knew that they were safe. Noah believed God and accepted that he and his family would be safe.
God tells us in His word that He tells us these things "that we may know" we have eternal life.
1Jn 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
1Jn 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
1Jn 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; [that ye may know that ye have eternal life], and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
A Christian is not afraid to die nor to serve the Lord. We know we are going to a better place and there is nothing this world can do but maybe send us home earlier.
You will notice it is the Lord that "shut him in". You see it is not man that decides who can be saved. It is not man that decides when this world will end. It is not man that decides when to close out those that think differently. It is the Creator, the God of this Universe that decides when He has patiently waited long enough for all those that desire the real life that last forever. It was the Lord that shut the door and it was only the Lord that could open the door.
Once that rain began we can be sure that there were many that knew the word of God was true. You know everyone in Hell is a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. If they had done so before they died a physical death, they would be in Heaven and not Hell. There is no way out of Hell after your body of flesh dies. This decision must be made before you draw your last breath. If God put time limits on people then I might not have made it. He waited on me and He is waiting on you.
Noah didn't shut the door and he could not out of pity to those he had known and preach too for 120 years. He probably would have opened the door and allowed them to escape their fate. God had left that door open for an additional seven days.
He didn't do that for His own satisfaction. He already knew that none would come before the rains came. He did it for Noah. This was another sign of His "Grace" and His "Mercy". Noah had preached this exact sermon for 120 years. These people had been called and they had rejected God and His word.
This was also done for us as we study and read the Bible. We can know at the end of the Church age many will slide of the pews straight into hell because they have rejected the truth of God and just played church. Once the door of salvation is closed in the Church Age it will not be opened for any that change their mind when they witness the Rapture of the Church.
2Th 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
2Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; [because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved[.
2Th 2:11 [And for this cause] [God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness].
There will be many saved during the Great Tribulation that follows the Rapture of the Church but none that claim to have known God and rejected His Son Jesus Christ from the Church Age.
1Jn 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1Jn 5:9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
1Jn 5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
Noah and all that were with him remained alive as God promised. Only those that put their trust in the Word of God will make it safely through the judgments 0f the Almighty God.
Joh 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
Joh 5:23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
Joh 5:24 [Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life].
Joh 5:25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
Joh 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
Joh 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
Joh 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
Joh 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
We can see in verse twenty that the water was at least twenty two feet above any land structure including the highest mountain. No man nor animal could have survived outside of the Ark. We can see that God was determined that all flesh was to die. We can also see who really sits on the throne of power. It is God Almighty the Creator of this place we call our temporary home. He is the Master of the Elements.
Mankind cannot survive outside the ark of safety that the Lord provides.
Mar 5:36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
Joh 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
Joh 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
Though the world teaches differently. It is only the word of God that brings salvation.
*****Our text:
Gen 8:1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged;
Gen 8:4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
Gen 8:20 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
Gen 8:21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
Gen 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Always in the darkest hour of judgment God remembers those that are His!
Psa 34:15 The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
Psa 33:18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
1Pe 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
The "wind" God used to clear the water from this Earth was not just the wind of nature. The Hebrew word "ruach" is used to refer to the Breath of God. In other words it is the Holy Spirit again that brings life to this planet and safety to Noah and his family. This same word is used as Spirit in Gen1:2
The water God used to destroy life on the world before the flood was the same water that He used to save Noah and his family:
1Pe 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, [wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water].
You know by all measurements that Ark had about one fourth unoccupied space, it could have held more souls.
By the Genesis record we can believe that the world before the flood was a tropical paradise. That would not be the case after the flood. After the flood the temperatures ranged from below freezing to the extreme of a desert climate and still had some places tropical.
This would be the time that we first have polar ice. You know the North Pole sits on no land mass. If and when it melts the water level will naturally go down in the world not raise. Water is about the only liquid that expands when it freezes. Some of the proof of the tropical paradise is in this frozen ice. Tremendous fruit trees that still have fruit have been found. Animals like the Mammoth Elephant have been found frozen solid in this ice. A 20 feet tall rhino was found frozen solid in this ice. Reeds 60 feet tall and coral were found. Nothing but the flood as described in the Bible can explain all this.
The Bible says:
Job 12:7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
Job 12:8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
Job 12:9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?
The entire world will see weather patterns that did not exist before the flood. The word "assuaged" comes from the Hebrew word "shakak" which means a great majority of that flood water is still on the Earth trapped in a subterranean water supply. We know this is true or you could not have the first well anywhere in the world.
Psa 104:5 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.
Psa 104:6 Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.
Psa 104:7 At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.
Psa 104:8 They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.
Psa 104:9 Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.
Psa 104:10 He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills.
Psa 104:11 They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.
Psa 104:12 By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches.
Psa 104:13 He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.
If all the depths of the Seas and Oceans were filled with dirt, the water would raise enough to cover the highest mountain by at least twenty feet.
A lot of people are looking on Mount Ararat in Turkey for the Ark and some say that they have found it. I truly hope so. What greater proof of the Bible could we find for those that don't already believe the truth. The truth is that this scripture says the Ark rested in the "mountains" of Ararat. That means the Ark rested somewhere in the entire mountain range and not necessarily on Mount Ararat itself. It would still be nice for it to be found. The Ark was the only unsinkable ship ever built! It had God's children on it!
We don't have those birds as part of our lesson today but just a couple of things should be mentioned.
1.) The Raven: Before the flood the Raven was a plant eating bird. We can see that, all that changed after the flood. Noah first sent out the Raven that went back and forth from the Ark until it decided that it was no longer necessary. It had found an abundance of food from the death that floated on the water. God kept Noah inside the Ark for about six months after the floods had gone down. It takes about six months for a dead body to disappear. The Raven is now a scavenger. It is listed as a bird of prey like the Eagle and Hawk. It is found around the world but "it is more numerous in Israel" than in any other country. I wonder why!
Rev 19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying [to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God];
2.) The Dove: The Dove is different than any other bird. It is the picture of promised blessings. It is the picture of rest. The Dove builds temporary homes(nest). The Dove mates for life and will not get another mate if the other dies. A Dove has fixed eyes. They have to look straight at you to see. The Dove is a symbol of rest. A Dove flutters down when it has reached it's destination.
Mat 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God [descending "like" a dove], and lighting upon him:
Mat 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
The Dove found no rest for it's feet because the Dove is unlike the Raven who would rest on the dead. The Dove needed the hand of the Noah.
This in typology means:
The Christian can find no rest in this flesh and we need the hand of God for our well being and our salvation.
Are you a Raven or a Dove?
When is the last time you have been to the Altar of God?
Noah sacrificed animals but they had to be clean. Jesus Christ was our sacrifice for our sin. It's time we sacrificed our selves to Him. This does not mean in death but it does mean to kill our fleshy ways.
Peter writes:
1Pe 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again [unto a lively hope] by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
Again:
1Pe 2:5 Ye also, [as lively stones], are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
And Paul wrote:
Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, [that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service].
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
1.) We rest our "Hope" in Christ while we are ALIVE.
2.) As a "lively stone" we are a building block while we are ALIVE in the House of God.
3.) God wants the use of our bodies while we are ALIVE.
This is when the Lord will smell a sweet savor in our lives. To be called a Christian is when we do as Jesus did. When we have the mind of Christ and when we walk in His ways. When we put on Christ. Then and only then is when God sees His Son in Us.
Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, [even so we also should walk in newness of life].
Php 2:5 [Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus]:
Rom 13:14 [But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ], and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
Act 11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. [And the disciples were called Christians] first in Antioch.
When we die we will go home but that is when He calls us HOME.
God gives us many guarantees and here we read of some of them:
1.) God said He would never again curse the ground for what mankind has done. (He did not remove the curse to Adam and to Cain)
God says that man will carry the sin nature from his youth.
Psa 78:38 But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yea, many a time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath.
Psa 78:39 For he remembered that they were but flesh; a wind that passeth away, and cometh not again.
2.) God said He would never kill all the living again because of sin as He had done this time.
He provided the atoning Blood Of Jesus so all could be saved!
3.) While this Earth stands, no matter what those that worship Mother Earth say:
1.) There will seed time, a time to plant.
2.) There will be harvest time, a time to gather food.
3.) There will be cold and a winter time.
4.) There will be heat and a summer time.
5.) There will be distinct seasons.
6.) There will be days.
7.) There will be nights.
This is God's word and His word is true. Even in the times of the Great Tribulation these things will hold true until God destroys this Earth and brings us to the New Earth and to the New Jerusalem.
Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
The beginning of these things have already started. The Lord Jesus is coming soon. God through Noah gave the world a second chance. He has changed the rules a little but all we have ever had to do was to be obedient to Him.
Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Ecc 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Today is a good day to be saved and be busy about the Masters work!
2Ti 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
2Ti 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
2Ti 2:23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
2Ti 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
2Ti 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
2Ti 2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
When we are going through a hard time and God brings us through it, we must not forget the first thing we need to do is PRAY to the ONE that SAVED US.
A CHILD OF GOD IS SWEET TO HIM! (Like a breath of fresh air)
Let's pray!
